Consolidated Car Rental Facility Opens at HNL

Contract Watts completed construction on the new 1.8 million sqft CONRAC facility at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) which officially opened to the public on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. The new structure consolidates all rental car companies servicing the airport and the five million+ travelers who come through the airport annually.

The $377 million five-story project is within walking distance of the terminal and has room for 4,500 vehicles housing 13 rental agency areas, each with their own office spaces and maintenance stations. Additionally, the facility holds 16 car wash stations and 68 commercial fueling stations and bus terminal areas.

The opening celebration and dedication featuring Gov. David Ige and other department officials was held on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.
